Dance & Choreography For those of you who want a staged production, complete with choreography, the wonderful Zoë Hodder is a dance tutor of 20 years’ experience. Here she is, in her own words: “I've danced from a very young age but during those early years, in the main, I was the watcher rather than the partaker of anything other than ballet and Jazz. Spending my childhood and teenage years in ballet or jazz shoes made me realize (so I thought) there was more to life, so I diversified and discovered Karate, motor-biking, and my future husband! Several years later, I had the opportunity to return to dance from a different angle and there began a love affair that has endured to this day. I also discovered I loved to choreograph and shape a dance to all manner of tempos & styles. Over the past 7 years I've branched into the Latin Quarter, found salsa and reinvented my hips and have been teaching Salsa ever since. More recently, I've had the opportunity to dip into Ballroom (in a very small way) and this year (2007) was asked to take part in 'Not Strictly Ballroom', a competition where professionals tutored celebrities in 2 dance styles and performed them in front of a panel of judges and an audience. My celebrity and I were lucky enough to win the first night with a Salsa number and a Paso Doble. Together with a close team of 5, we are currently working on choreography for various small one-night shows for private functions and we're planning our 5^th annual cabaret for our Sizzling Summer Salsa party. © 2007 A Parkes & M Mannion
